RVC Student Journalists Shine Statewide

The Valley Forge staff at Rock Valley College celebrated a successful year at the Illinois Community College Journalism Association annual competition, earning multiple statewide awards that recognize excellence in student journalism.

RVC Distinguished Alumnus Brent Brodeski Recognized as 2026 Chicago Titan Hall of Fame Honoree

At this year’s Chicago Titan Awards, Rock Valley College Distinguished Alumnus Brent Brodeski was recognized as a 2026 Chicago Titan 100 for the third consecutive year and inducted into the Chicago Titan 100 Hall of Fame, one of only 12 honorees selected in the award’s inaugural year.

RVC's New Cultural Center Inspires Connection

“Our concept for the new Cultural Center was to create a space where students could engage and showcase their cultures, a place where they could feel comfortable, connect with one another, and share meaningful parts of who they are and what they do,” said Intercultural Student Services Coordinator Kyle Huddleston, who introduced Rock Valley College’s new Cultural Center as an inclusive space designed to support and celebrate the college’s underrepresented and diverse student populations.

RVC Earns Best for Vets Designation

Rock Valley College was recently named to the Military Times' 2025 Best for Vets: College Rankings. This year’s list includes 357 institutions, marking an increase from 304 in 2024. The growth underscores the expanding network of colleges prioritizing veteran success through targeted programs, financial support, and student-veteran communities.
