RVC Breaks Ground on New Campus

Rock Valley College (RVC) officially broke ground on its new Downtown West Campus on Thursday, March 27, celebrating with nearly 100 employees, stakeholders, and community partners in attendance. The campus, located at the intersection of Chestnut and Winnebago Streets in downtown Rockford, will house a variety of programs targeted at adult learners and is scheduled to open in August 2026.

Agents Of Healing And Hope Panel Discussion

Throughout the month of March, Rock Valley College has been celebrating Women’s History Month with events sponsored by RVC Promoting an Inclusive Community. RVC will be closing out Women's History Month with a panel discussion highlighting the voices and work of female leaders in our community on Wednesday, March 30 at 12 p.m. in RVC’s Student Center Atrium.


Leading Expert On Cults And Mind Control To Speak At RVC

RVC's Massage Therapy Training Program hosted world-renowned bodywork educator Erik Dalton's Myoskeletal Alignment Classes on Saturday, Oct. 22, and Sunday, Oct. 23, in the main campus Student Center Atrium. Massage Therapists from around the country attended the two-day event. 


Rock Valley College Joins Siu Carbondales Saluki Step Ahead Program

On March 14, Rock Valley College President Howard Spearman signed an agreement with Southern Illinois University (SIU) Carbondale Chancellor Austin A. Lane to participate in the Saluki Step Ahead program.


RVC Athletics Make National Tournament History

All four winter sports teams have advanced to NJCAA National Tournaments for the first time in Rock Valley College history. Men’s Bowling, Women’s Bowling, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Basketball will all compete in upcoming tournaments for National Champion titles.
