CEO Challenge

Rock Valley College will host a 60th Anniversary CEO Challenge on Friday, April 25.

This event will host 19 regional CEOs and their representatives to participate in RVC-themed, field-day-like competitions to celebrate the college's 60 years of community impact and support student scholarships.

“I think it’s time to put a little play back in the work day,” said RVC president Dr. Howard Spearman. “Our CEO challenge is about shaking off the seriousness of the workday for a few hours and carving out a little time to play hard while seeing old friends and making some new ones. Through a little competition with activities like a free throw contest, a battle of the brains, a fire science obstacle course and much more. We’ll fight for bragging rights and the title of RVC CEO Champion all while supporting scholarships for RVC students.”

Participation directly invests in the future of our community by providing educational opportunities for deserving students, ensuring RVC can continue its mission for another 60 years. Scholarships have a direct and immediate impact on students' lives, allowing them to focus on their studies without financial stress and promoting educational equity. By supporting these scholarships, sponsors are also investing in the future workforce of the community, developing skilled professionals who will contribute to the local economy. Collectively, the 20 organizations participating in this event have contributed $75,000 to create new scholarship opportunities for RVC students.
