About the Program

Expand your language skills and broaden your cultural horizons! Learning a new language can also help you communicate with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and can be an asset in many careers such as business, education, and healthcare. RVC currently offers credit courses in Spanish, German, and French. American Sign Language courses are offered through our Community and Continuing Education Department.

Potential Careers & Wages

Students who pursue foreign language coursework at RVC strive to achieve  fluency in Spanish, German, or French. In the years ahead, the demand for interpreters, translators and language instructors is projected to grow. RVC graduates who transfer to a four-year college or university and earn a Bachelor’s degree can work almost anywhere in the world for corporations, businesses, governments, non-profit agencies or schools.
