Free Math Help
RVC's Math Lab offers free drop-in tutoring for math. (No appointments taken.) Tutors are there to answer your math questions and to help you with your math homework.
The Math Lab in JCSM-0210 has computers and tables for studying and doing math homework. The computers may be used for any math-related work including online math homework, EAGLE use for math classes, viewing math videos, or visiting math websites. Also, all math textbooks are available for student use in the lab.
Refreshing Your Skills
Need help preparing for an upcoming math placement test?
MyMathTest is an online program (like MyMathLab) that provides you with a practice test and plenty of practice problems to improve where you need help. For a relatively small fee now, you can save hundreds of dollars later. The program uses videos, examples, animations, and other aids to guide you if you get stuck.
- Register for MyMathTest at MyMathTest.com. If you don't have an access code, you can purchase one for $15 through MyMathTest to get 16 weeks of access. If you need financial assistance, please call (815) 921-3471.
- Sign-up for test prep or a refresher program. For Placement Test, Geometry Competency Test, or High School Math Review, use program ID XL43-K1S9-201Y-1EV2. For College Level Math Review, use program ID XL43-K1SF-201Z-00W2.
- After signing-in with your account, follow the instructions provided. RVC students can visit the Math Lab for help from math instructors.
All sessions are available in-person in JCSM Room 0210. Please Note: Students in MTH 088-097, 115, and 120 may choose any of the time slots shown below. Additional classes that are supported are indicated per each time slot.
