RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!
The Department of Education mandates that colleges obtain specific documentation when verifying information that students submit when applying for financial aid. Rock Valley College also requires that students read their Rights and Responsibilities and the Standards of Academic Progress policy. Depending on your individual circumstance, additional information may be necessary to process and award your financial aid.
Below is a brief description of 2013-2014 academic year forms. To view the forms, simply click the right form number, print the form, fill it out and submit it to the Financial Aid Office. The forms you need to submit are listed on the letter the RVC financial aid office sends once we have received your FAFSA application from the Department of Education. These forms can also be found on your RVC Online Services account (once we have received your FAFSA).
These forms are required from every student applying for financial aid at Rock Valley College.
The following forms are for Fall 2013 and Spring/Summer 2014 Semesters
The forms below are required if your FAFSA form was selected for verification by the Department of Education, or if after review by the financial aid staff more information is required to resolve conflicting information within your file.
Form 2 Independent Standard Verification Form-This form is required for independent students in the standard verification group. This form requires students to provide information such as household, work, and income information.
Form 3 Dependent Standard Verification Form- This form is required for dependent students in the standard verification group. This form requires students and parents to provide information such as; household, work, and income information.
Form 4 Independent SNAP Verification Form- This form is required for independent students in the SNAP verification group. This form requires students to provide information about the SNAP benefits they may be receiving.
Form 5 Dependent SNAP Verification Form- This form is required for dependent students in the SNAP verification group. This form requires students and parents to provide information about the SNAP benefits they may be receiving.
Form 6 Independent Child Support Paid Verification Form- This form is required for independent students in the child support paid verification group. This form requires students to provide information about child support they may have paid.
Form 7 Dependent Child Support Paid Verification Form- This form is required for dependent students in the child support paid verification group. This form requires students and parents to provide information about child support they may have paid.
Form 8 Independent Custom Verification Form- This form is required for independent students in the custom verification group. This form requires students to provide information such as; SNAP benefits, child support paid, and high school completion status.
Form 9 Dependent Custom Verification Form- This form is required for dependent students in the custom verification group. This form requires students and parents to provide information such as; SNAP benefits, child support paid, and high school completion status.
Form 10 Independent Aggregate Verification Form- This form is required for independent students in the aggregate verification group. This form requires students to provide information such as; household, income, and SNAP information.
Form 11 Dependent Aggregate Verification Form- This form is required for dependent students in the aggregate verification group. This form requires students and parents to provide information such as; household, income, and SNAP information.
Form 12 Illinois Residency Verification Form- This form provides a list of documents approved by the state to verify Illinois residency for the Illinois state MAP grant.
IRS Tax Transcript Request Process- This form gives students directions on how to obtain their tax transcripts.
FAFSA IRS Data Retrieval Tool- Directions on how to correct a FAFSA and use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.
Form 13 Curriculum Code Form- This form consists of a list of all programs that are eligible for financial aid. It is required if you do not have an eligible code recorded in the RVC Records Office.
Form 14 Verification of Low Income and/or Support of Dependents Form- Students and parents (if student is dependent) may be asked to fill this form out if income reported appears to be unusually low.
Form 15 2013-2014 FAFSA Signature Form- Students and parents (if student is dependent) will receive this form if you did not sign the FAFSA electronically or you did not submit a paper signature to the Department of Education.
Form 16 Standards of Progress Appeal Form- Students receiving financial aid must make Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) toward the completion of course requirements in a certificate or degree program. Fill out this form if you have been notified that you are no longer meeting the standards for financial aid and wish to appeal due to circumstances beyond your control.

Form 17 Permanent Standards of Progress Appeal Form- Students may receive Financial Aid until they have attempted 96 credit hours, this includes up to 43 transfer credits. Fill out this form if you have attempted more than 96 credit hours and wish to appeal this limit
