The Rock Valley College Foundation is pleased to announce that 154 deserving students will receive scholarships for the 2012/13 academic year. Comprised of 66 scholarships, ranging in amount and criteria, the total award this semester exceeded $136,000.
With a mission to support the priorities of Rock Valley College, the RVC Foundation works to assist in the affordability and accessibility of a quality education for students with diverse backgrounds and varying educational aspirations. Many of the opportunities for support are a direct result of more than 50 endowed, or permanently funded, scholarships with specific criteria ranging from academic standing, area of interest or study, and geographical region.
"I am always humbled by the generosity of donors, and touched by the impact these gifts have on the lives of students and our community," said Pamela Owens, executive director of the RVC Foundation. "These scholarship dollars provide an opportunity for education that these students may have otherwise missed. We are so proud to support the mission of Rock Valley College."
Should you wish to contribute to the future education of an RVC student, or have an interest in applying for future scholarship awards, we invite you to call (815) 921-4500 or visit us at www.rockvalleycollege.edu/foundation.
