RVC Hires Florence Haley as Vice President of Human Resources


Florence HaleyRock Valley College is pleased to announce the hiring of Florence Haley, SPHR; IPMA-HR, CP; SHRM-SCP; as the College’s new Vice President of Human Resources.

Florence has over 15 years of experience working in Human Resources, including most recently as Director of Human Resources for the Stevens Point Area Public School District in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Prior to that she worked for over 10 years as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Beloit.

“We feel very fortunate to have found someone like Florence who is familiar with our region and our community,” said Dr. Doug Jensen, President of Rock Valley College. “She brings with her years of valuable experience in compensation and benefits programs, labor relations, and employee development. In addition to her education, Florence has earned numerous human resources certifications that will serve her well in her role at RVC.”

Florence earned an M.B.A. in Organizational Development and a B.S. in Business Administration from Upper Iowa University. She also earned certifications in Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resource Management, Certified Professional in Public Sector Human Resources from the International Public Management Association of Human Resources, and Human Resource and Labor Relations Certifications from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education. Florence has also worked as an adjunct instructor at Blackhawk Technical College where she has taught The Basics of Human Resource Management, Managing Change and Diversity, and Employment Law in Human Resources.

Florence began her new duties at RVC on August 1.
