What do you want to do? The sky’s the limit at Rock Valley College, where you can:

  • Make new friends during Welcome Week at the beginning of each semester- and get information about tons of clubs on CLUB DAY! (the Wednesday of every Welcome Week)
  • Cheer on the RVC Golden Eagles during Homecoming Week in September.
  • See the lights and shop till you drop on our annual Christmas trek to Chicago. Since the early 1980s, RVC has sponsored this trip for up to 150 students, faculty, alumni, and local residents.
  • Help organize a concert, lecture, film night, or family activities.
  • Plan a blood drive or fundraising event that benefits a local organization.
  • Participate in our traditional May Fest, a full week of events and activities which are new each year!
  • Take a trip to a local museum or area attraction, such as historic Galena, Illinois.
  • Organize a special event commemorating such occasions as Black History Month or Cinco de Mayo
  • Participate in a community service project organized by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society or Circle K.
  • Compete nationally with the Bowling Club. RVC is the only community college in the country to compete on a national level, going up against teams from such prominent institutions as Purdue and Notre Dame. RVC’s Bowling Club is ranked in the top 10 nationally.
  • Write for the school newspaper, The Valley Forge.
  • Hang out at the Student Center, where you can do everything from cash a check, socialize with friends, grab a bite to eat, watch big-screen TV, play a video game, and much more.
