EPS Our Educational Planning Sessions will give you a head start on what to expect at RVC.
The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!
RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in football, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.
Basketball The next home games for RVC will be Thursday, February 11 at 5 & 7pm vs. Triton.

Rock Valley College Studio Theatre's sold out performance of Christmas with the Conroys scheduled for 8:00 p.m. December 9, 2009 has been rescheduled due to the weather. Tickets will be honored for 8:00 p.m. on Sunday December 13, 2009. If this reschedule causes any problems, please call the RVC Box Office at 815-921-2160 between 9:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. on Thursday December 10, 2009. Because all of the remaining performances are sold out, we will do everything in our power to accommodate exchanges for seats as they become available for any of the remaining performances (Thursday Dec. 10th at 8:00 p.m., Friday Dec. 11th at 8:00 p.m., Saturday Dec. 12th at 2:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m.)
Rock Valley College is home to a pair of renowned theater programs. 
Summers come alive at RVC with Starlight Theatre, featuring four productions and held in the beautiful, and one-of-a-kind Bengt Sjostrom Theatre on the main campus. With its one of a kind retractable roof, every night is a perfect night for a show. Starlight brings some of the best known productions to Rockford, and in recent years will debut an original work.
Studio Theatre enjoys a more intimate setting for productions throughout the winter. Whether it's a Christie murder mystery or an original work, audiences feel a part of the play.
