The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!
RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in football, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

Affordability: RVC tuition and fees are lower than the average Illinois Community College, and financial aid is available for those who qualify.
Convenience: RVC offers day, night, and weekend courses, as well as online courses to meet the scheduling needs of all students. Courses are also offered at two campus locations in Rockford- the RVC main campus on Mulford Road and the Stenstrom Center for Career Education located on Samuelson Road next to Jefferson High School.

Student Success: The RVC Success Center provides support for the academic development and enrichment of Rock Valley College students through tutoring services. In addition, study skills seminars are offered each semester in test-taking, time management, math anxiety, efficient textbook reading, and graphing calculator use. RVC also offers a Math Lab and a Writing Lab with faculty and computer access and support for all students.
