RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's soccer. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won 13 national championships and we have had more than 140 All-Americans.

The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features over 91,000 book volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!

Microsoft Office Certifications
Rock Valley College (RVC) is an authorized Certiport Testing Center offering a certification for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). The MOS certification validates skills in using Microsoft Office 2010. Examinees may be certified through Rock Valley College in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access. Master certification is also available.
Certification testing is conducted in the RVC Testing Center, located on the lower level of the Student Center. Please schedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. To schedule an appointment, please call the Rock Valley College Testing Center at (815) 921-2385.
Standard fees for MOS are $96 per exam. Examinees not enrolled in Rock Valley College's PCI 228 (Personal Computer Information Specialist) credit course are expected to have purchased vouchers in advance and bring the voucher to the appointment. Examinees not enrolled in Rock Valley College's credit course PCI 228 (Personal Computer Information Specialist) will be charged a $15 proctor fee. Re-tests are subject to the $15 proctor fee.
