RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in football, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!

Rock Valley College and Woodward have joined forces on the GEM Program (Golden Eagles Manufacturing), to offer you paid, job-related experience while you earn your Manufacturing Engineering Technology degree.
In the GEM program, you will earn a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology through Rock Valley College. In addition, you will gain valuable real-world experience through Woodward, while being paid your time. Qualified students will have tuition, fees and books provided by Woodward.
Classes offered
GEM is a two-year program with benefits, including holiday and vacation pay, profit sharing and competitive starting wages.
First year course offerings include:
1. Contact Rock Valley College at (815) 921-3100. Submit an RVC Application for Admission.
2. Submit individual ACT scores or take RVC placement exams. Qualified applicants need to place at the college level (ACT scores of 19 in Reading and English, 18 in Math).
3. World a minimum of 20 hours a week and maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade point average.
Offer for employment is contingent upon passing drug test and background check.
