RVC Breaks Ground on New Campus
Rock Valley College (RVC) officially broke ground on its new Downtown West Campus on Thursday, March 27, celebrating with nearly 100 employees, stakeholders, and community partners in attendance. The campus, located at the intersection of Chestnut and Winnebago Streets in downtown Rockford, will house a variety of programs targeted at adult learners and is scheduled to open in August 2026.

Cultural Celebration Honors Graduates
Rock Valley College proudly celebrated graduates' cultural heritage, academic achievements, and personal journeys at the Nuestras Raíces event on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Translating to "Our Roots," the annual celebration brought together nearly 60 graduating students, their families, and community members in a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to identity, perseverance, and community.

RVC's Phi Theta Kappa Wins Award for Promoting College Pride
Rock Valley College’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter received a “CCsmart Champion Award” from Phi Theta Kappa’s International Headquarters for a series of events in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years that highlighted the outstanding educational opportunities available at RVC.
