RVC Massage Therapy Program Receives Grant for Student Advancement
Rock Valley College’s Massage Therapy program has been selected as one of five recipients of the 2025 Spring Schools Grant, receiving a $10,000 award to enhance its curriculum, student training, and community outreach.

RVC's Massage Therapy program celebrates receiving a $10,000 grant from AMTA and Massage Envy to support student success and community wellness.
"We are incredibly grateful for the generous and continued support of Massage Envy—from sponsoring massage therapy classes in the past to now awarding a $10,000 grant,” said Becky Lambert, Executive Director of Community and Continuing Education. “This gift couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, as we proudly celebrate 10 years of massage therapy education at Rock Valley College and the opening of our new, state-of-the-art program space at the Health Science Center. Their investment helps us elevate student learning and advance the future of therapeutic care in our community."
The grant, presented through a partnership between the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Massage Envy, is part of a national initiative to help institutions attract, train, and graduate the next generation of highly qualified massage therapists. The program at RVC is led by Bodycraft Wellness & Massage Center, LLC, and offers a robust 600-hour training curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in massage and bodywork therapies.
“This award strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality, hands-on training that supports both student success and community wellness,” said Jamie Fanara, Program Director. “We’re proud to be recognized by AMTA and Massage Envy for our commitment to professional standards and student achievement.”
The funds will be used to:
- Upgrade massage therapy equipment and classroom tools,
- Support student scholarships and licensing preparation,
- Expand community access to massage therapy through outreach clinics and public events.
Rock Valley College’s Massage Therapy program offers certification in under a year and combines lectures, demonstrations, and clinical practice. With a strong focus on ethical practice and business readiness, the program continues to meet growing demand in the health and wellness field.
AMTA is the largest nonprofit association serving the massage profession and is committed to advancing the art, science, and practice of massage therapy. Through this grant initiative, AMTA and Massage Envy aim to elevate the profession by supporting education rooted in integrity, research, and professional excellence.
