RVC Breaks Ground on New Campus
Rock Valley College (RVC) officially broke ground on its new Downtown West Campus on Thursday, March 27, celebrating with nearly 100 employees, stakeholders, and community partners in attendance. The campus, located at the intersection of Chestnut and Winnebago Streets in downtown Rockford, will house a variety of programs targeted at adult learners and is scheduled to open in August 2026.

RVC President Honored for Commitment to Student Success
Rock Valley College President Dr. Howard Spearman will be honored with the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) Paragon Award for New Presidents during PTK Catalyst 2023, the Society’s annual convention in Columbus, Ohio, April 20-22, 2023.
RVC To Host Science Olympiad On March 18
Rock Valley College will host a Science Olympiad Regional Competition for over 300 middle and high school students on Saturday, March 18, 2023. The event will take place from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on the RVC main campus (3301 N. Mulford Rd.), with an awards ceremony at 4:00 pm.
