RVC Breaks Ground on New Campus

Rock Valley College (RVC) officially broke ground on its new Downtown West Campus on Thursday, March 27, celebrating with nearly 100 employees, stakeholders, and community partners in attendance. The campus, located at the intersection of Chestnut and Winnebago Streets in downtown Rockford, will house a variety of programs targeted at adult learners and is scheduled to open in August 2026.

RVC Ignites Innovation and Skills Development for Middle School Students

Summer Manufacturing and Readiness Technology (SMART) Camp is back at Rock Valley College in summer 2024. Sparking interest in the world of automation and fabrication, these one-week, non-credit summer camps allow middle school students to explore the career areas of welding, mechatronics, and CNC machining. In addition, participants will also learn about principles of entrepreneurship and how that relates to careers.

The Stenstrom Family Legacy of Generosity at RVC

In the early 2000s, the Stenstrom family left an indelible mark on Rock Valley College (RVC) through their extraordinary generosity. A remarkable donation led to the naming of the Stenstrom Center for Career Education on Samuelson Road. Fast forward to this year, with RVC no longer owning that campus, the College is relocating the family's name to the Stenstrom Student Center, a move that reflects both adaptability and gratitude for the family's enduring commitment.
