Summer Bridge Programs
Summer Bridge Programs are eight-week programs for students that provide them with the opportunity to explore their selected pathway of interest, earn Rock Valley College credits, and develop college and career readiness skills.
About the Program
Students can participate in Summer Bridge as long as they are 16 years of age when the program begins.
Pathways include: Cybersecurity, Engineering, Health Sciences, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and Welding. With each pathway, you can earn four college credits with the exception of Engineering which earns three college credits.
Summer Bridge students will take two college courses in a specific career pathway, participate in industry tours, and attend workshops to aid in their personal and professional development. Attendance at all sessions is required in order to complete the Summer Bridge Program.
The program is free to participants. The programs are funded by the Innovative Bridge and Transitions Grant through ICCB, covering the student's tuition, textbooks, and additional course and material fees.
