It is the policy of Rock Valley College to provide equal opportunity in its admissions, employment, and educational programs and activities consistent with federal and state law. Further, information about an employee's immigration status is private and protected by state and federal laws. Therefore:
- RVC policy prohibits the disclosure of certain identifying employee information (including immigration status) without a warrant, a court order, or written consent from the student.
- RVC requires any requesting agencies, such as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), to present their credentials, the basis for their request, and a warrant or court order signed by a judge.
