Shoutouts
Our faculty & staff make RVC a great place to work!

Dr. Danielle Hardesty
Philosophy Associate Professor & Department Chair
"Dr. Hardesty is both a true philosopher (a lover of wisdom) and a true seeker of social justice. She doesn’t just assign the interesting readings on topics like racial justice, class struggles, and gender bias—she shows up in the community for the important conversations, meetings, and other supportive forms of activism. As the chair of the philosophy department, she works hard to help keep the philosophy program strong and connected to the community. Professor Wagner and I are so proud to be her colleagues in the RVC Philosophy Department!" – Michelle M. Rotert, PhD, Professor of Philosophy

Joseph Agbeko
Dean of Adult and Developmental Education
"Joseph is the college’s newest academic dean, and oversees the college’s newest academic division. He walked into a major redesign of developmental education, and got right to work with faculty and staff, proving to be a great resource. Joseph is always happy to take a phone call or pick up a ping pong paddle. Joseph is a great addition to RVC." – Dr. Amanda Smith, Vice President, Liberal Arts & Adult Education/CAO

Dr. Kym Blanchard
Executive Director Online Development & Innovation
"Dr. Blanchard leads a strong team focusing on providing support for our amazing faculty and staff in instructional design and online. She can be counted on to send new employees a personal welcome, and does a lot to increase collaboration in our team. RVC is a stronger college because of Kym!" – Dr. Amanda Smith, Vice President, Liberal Arts & Adult Education/CAO

Jerry LaBuy
Academic Chair, Mass Communications
“Jerry is an unbelievable boss who looks after his staff with as much care as his Lego Collection. Like Prince, Jerry picked a color and hasn’t looked back since. Orange has never looked better. Mass Com is an environment that gives Artists the tools to express themselves with a community that welcomes them with open arms. Jerry’s influence on Mass Com is undeniable and thanks to him, hundreds of students have continued their path into the career of their dreams.” – Luca Sauceda, Instructional Technician/Lab Technician, Mass Communication
