The mission of the Eagles Nest Food Pantry is to combat food insecurity by distributing food to RVC students.
The Eagle’s Nest Food Pantry is a program that collects and stores foods to distribute free- of- charge to ALL RVC students. This includes those enrolled in GED and ESL classes.
|Monday||2:00 - 4:30 p.m.|
|Wednesday||2:00 - 4:30 p.m.|
|Friday||10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.|
NOTE: Students can stop by any time, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to fill out a request for food and personal care items to be picked up during our open hours.
Current RVC students with a student ID and schedule are eligible to come to the Pantry on every distribution date. This includes those enrolled in GED and ESL classes.
The Pantry provides free supplemental food for students and their families who are in need of this type of support. At each distribution, students have a choice of canned fruits and vegetables; bread, rice, pasta and cereal; canned beans, soups and other protein sources; Specific foods are available, depending upon budget restrictions and availability of products.
Students are asked to check-in on the 2nd floor at TRiO Student Support Services (2312) and must show their RVC IDs and schedule. A student worker then guides them through selection. Each student gets to choose which products in each category are most useful to them. Students are encouraged to bring their own bag, box, or other container for their food.
We accept donations of unopened non-perishable foods, grocery gifts cards, and financial support daily.
