How Your Credits Transfer- Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI)

The Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) is a statewide agreement that allows transfer of a 37-41 credit General Education Core between participating Illinois institutions. Completion of this core at Rock Valley College assures transferring students that lower-division general education requirements for an associate or bachelor's degree have been satisfied.

The IAI is in effect for RVC students who were first-time freshmen in the summer of 1998 and thereafter.

Rock Valley College is a strong supporter of the IAI. We believe it will go a long way to ending the confusion about what courses transfer to what colleges. Students should visit the IAI Web site for a complete list of participating Illinois colleges and universities, public and private.

MyCreditsTransfer (powered by Transferology)

MyCreditsTransfer (formerly u.select Illinois) is a statewide initiative designed to facilitate transfer within Illinois using the nationally available tool, Transferology. Within Transferology students can find out how courses transfer between institutions, how courses satisfy degree requirements and the different majors institutions offer.

Many Illinois institutions participate in Transferology and it is free for anyone to use. For more information visit iTransfer.org.
