Rock Valley College will offer two primary modes of instruction for courses this fall: online and hybrid. The face-to-face portion of hybrid classes will include social distancing, and may result in reduced capacity to allow for six-foot social distancing requirements.
Students who already registered for fall courses are being contacted directly to make any necessary adjustments to their course schedules. The answers to many questions students or parents may have about RVC’s fall semester can be found at rockvalleycollege.edu/fallfaq.
“We are taking every precaution and step to address the needs of our students, faculty, staff, and all campus attendees during this pandemic,” said Ron Geary, RVC Vice President and Chief Academic Officer. “Our decisions are based on information that we receive from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), the Governor’s Office, Winnebago County Health Department (WCHD) and other local government agencies.”
Students who have completed the getting started steps are free to register for fall courses at any time. For any student looking to get started at RVC, the first step is to fill out an application at rockvalleycollege.edu/apply.
The fall semester at RVC begins August 15 for weekend classes and August 17 for weekday classes. The last day to register is August 13.
