Rock Valley College Community and Continuing Education invites you to attend a free session on “Life Stories: Why Write Yours,” that will be hosted by genealogy and life story expert Curt Witcher. Learn how to develop your own story into something durable and long-lasting. Witcher will explain how to easily find reliable sources, build information, and harness the power of photographs to preserve and protect this information for future generations.

“Knowing one’s story is very powerful, sometimes life changing,” said Witcher. “It is the best gift one can give to our children and grandchildren. Everyone has a story—everyone came from someone. Engaging in discovering one’s family history is open to all. It is truly the adventure of a lifetime.”

This free session will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Jacobs Center for Science and Math (JCSM), room 1104, on the main Rock Valley College campus, 3301 N. Mulford Road, in Rockford. Event is open to all.

For additional session information, please contact Gary Gullet at 815-222-2824.
