In just a few weeks, the fall semester at Rock Valley College will begin. For students who are planning to attend RVC in the fall, there is still time to complete the getting started steps and register for classes.
The college will be extending hours of operation for the Student Center on RVC’s main campus (3301 North Mulford Road), on Tuesdays to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., starting July 31 to accommodate those who need to complete the getting started and registration process.
Prospective students can also visit the Student Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for most student services, including admissions, records, and financial aid. For those needing to take the placement test, the Testing Center is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Academic advisors are available by appointment during normal business hours. Call 815-921-4100 to schedule an appointment. The college also has an Open Advising Lab for walk-in assistance from advisors that is staffed Mondays-Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The college will also be hosting one more registration event to guide students through the getting started and registration process with one-on-one assistance. The event will be held Friday, August 17, 1-4 p.m., in the Open Advising Lab (second floor of Student Center - Main Campus). No matter where you are in the getting started process, you can leave this registration event with a fall schedule in hand.
