Please provide as much detail as you know. The required fields are the minimum information needed for the request to be placed. Remember to plan ahead since requests usually take five to seven days to fill. This time period will vary and there is no guarantee that the materials will arrive on or before a needed date. Due dates for materials are established by the lending library. No requests for textbooks will be accepted; they are not honored by lending libraries. Staff, students and community patrons should submit requests through WorldCat whenever possible. If you need assistance placing your request, contact the librarian on duty at the reference desk at (815) 921-4619. Library website, Quarry and hardcopy forms are backup options as needed. Patrons are limited to five active requests at any given time for items that are returnable. Copies of articles are considered non-returnable. For questions about the status of your request, call (815) 921-4607 or (815) 921-4614.
The copyright law of the United States (title 17, a U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or reproduction in other than private study, scholarship or research. If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction in excess of "fair use" that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of such order would involve violation of copyright law.
