Media Production Specialist
This is a certificate program within Mass Communication.
Graduates of our 32-credit Media Production Specialist Certificate Program are prepared to produce a wide range of media projects including: multi-format television programs, commercials, public service announcements, documentaries, short narrative films, podcasts, and audio programs.

Certificate graduates have secured jobs such as Editor, Master Control Operator, Director, Audio Engineer, Camera Operator, Producer, Set Production Assistant, Media Writer, Technical Media Producer, and Videographer.
Students should meet with a Career Advisor to develop a clear academic pathway leading to a seamless transfer experience. For additional possibilities that may require an advanced degree or certification, make an appointment with a Career Advisor.
Most of the courses in this certificate program have IAI transfer codes. Students are highly encouraged to pursue both an Associate of Arts degree and bachelor's degree in order to increase their opportunities for long-term employment. Students should consult with the Mass Communication Department Chair or an RVC Career Advisor.
