As a graduate of the Automotive Service Technology (ATM) program, you will be prepared to assume positions in the automotive industry as an entry-level technician. You will become adept in all aspects of the automobile, including electrical/electronics, engine repair, engine performance, heating/AC, suspension, brakes, and transmissions. By achieving at least a 3.0 GPA, you should be able to pass the industry recommended ASE tests to enhance your employability.
As a successful ASE-certified graduate, you can move into positions as a journeyman technician. Technician training can lead to other career paths such as service managers, parts managers, jobber salespersons, insurance adjusters, and shop operators.
