COMMUNITY & CONTINUING ED
 

Community Education offers non-credit courses for hobby, leisure, and development.  Courses do not earn credit toward college degrees and are not transferable. 

Continuing Education offers programs and courses to increase useful job knowledge, functional skills and practical workplace methods that directly translate into improved employee performance. Any program or course that meets the criteria of helping students in their general professional development, career advancement or preparation for state and national certificate exams would qualify to be offered through Continuing Education. 

Whiz Kids provides students in K - 8th grade with a variety of academic enrichment opportunities.

Rock Valley College Whiz Kids – Rockford IL
$20 an hour - Part-time
 

Are you looking to make a big impact in a part time job? Our part time Whiz Kids Instructors will have fun teaching to groups of elementary & middle school kids.

Instructors should be looking for part time work, enjoy working with children and have reliable transportation.

SCHEDULE
 

  • This is a part time job. We help you develop a class schedule based on your availability.
     

EXPERIENCE
 

  • We are primarily interested in dynamic personalities who want to make a difference in a child's day.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
     

INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Be EARLY - Instructors are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled class time
  • Be PREPARED – Instructors are expected to develop their own curriculum and lessons.
  • (In summer semester, basic curriculum outlines may be available for specific subjects/topics).
  • Be FRIENDLY - A smile and a healthy dose of enthusiasm go a long way.
  • Be ENGAGING – RVC instructors engage students to THINK, LEARN and PLAY WELL each and every class.
     

SUPPLIES
 

  • Instructors select and purchase the supplies they need to flourish in a program setting. All approved supply expenses are fully reimbursed.
