Please see detailed class information at bottom of page.

Chemical Wizardry

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL10

(Ages 7-12) Get ready for a fun-filled "magical" laboratory experience Harry Potter style. Enjoy making Flubber, Silly Putty, Super Hi- Bounce balls, and more. Have fun making light inside of a glow bottle, a mushroom monster, play dough, Glowing Goo, and even a tye-dye style shirt. We will create atomic worm polymers and lava lamp-like blobs. We will also demonstrate the Big Bang Cannon, diet Coke and Mentos Geyser, Magic Genie in the bottle, and more. Learning concepts include atoms and bonding, physical and chemical changes, acids/bases, and more. All campers will take home a mini- chemistry kit & recipe booklet. BRING:  100% white cotton T- shirt to the second class. No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Gravitrax Science

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL11

(Ages 7-12) With the GraviTrax interactive track system, you can design and build your own marble runs and experiment with gravity, magnetism, and kinetics to propel your marble to the finish. With a variety of tiles, levels, tracks and elements, you can control the speed of the marble and complexity of the contraption. The open-ended building concept offers endless possibilities to design a unique track. Add flair and speed to your tracks with the volcano, the lifter, tip tube, trampoline, and more expansion action accessories. Experience the power of gravity with this epic marble run program. Physical science concepts are directly addressed. No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Super Science STEM Challenges

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL12

(Ages 7-12) In this engineering camp, you will have fun integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics by building and designing a wide range of gadgets, inventive machines, towers, crazy contraptions, and more. Projects include: The Great Tower Challenge, the Standing Cup Pyramid Challenge, Scratch coding challenges, Wooden Coaster Challenge, Structural Engineering Challenge, Magnificent Marble Machine, and a host of other fun contests designed to bring out the engineer in you! No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Battle Bots & Robotic Fun

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL13

(Ages 7-12) Have fun building and creating using your imagination. Campers will construct a wide range of robot projects throughout the week. Projects will include contructing a Battle-Bot from our huge Robotix modular collection, participating in our robot tug-o' war, Olympic competition, soccer match, and more. Campers will learn engineering principles in a fun, hands-on atmosphere. (This camp focuses on building modular robots from your imagination. Coding is not a focus in this class). All students will take home a Hexbug robot as part of this camp. No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Motorized Lego® Maker Machines

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL14

(Ages 7-12) LEGO ®enthusiasts, have fun building and designing a wide variety of machines and mechanisms that will help to solve everyday problems! Each day campers working in teams are given one or more real-world or simulated problems then design and construct solutions using a wide assortment of motorized LEGOs. Campers will learn about machines, gears, robotics, forces and motion, physics concepts, and more. LEGO components include LEGO Technic and App controlled LEGO Boost projects. All campers will take home a non motorized LEGO Technic project. No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Lego® We Do Robotics

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL15

(Ages 6-11) Students will build Lego ® models featuring working motors and sensors, program their models on laptop computers, and participate in new unique WeDo challenges. Students will develop their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Students will use simple drag and drop software and a lap top computer to actually learn how to program robots made from Legos ®. This program makes elementary science come to life through hands-on tasks, real-world projects, and relevant technology that engages students. All students will take home a non motorized Lego Technic model. No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Architecture & Engineering Challenges

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL16

(Ages 7-12) Architecture and engineering are the focus of this program. You will work to design and build towers, balsa bridges and a wide array of Lego and K'nexT architecture projects. Have fun building famous architectural designs from around the world including Adam Tucker Reed's famous brick structures including the Empire State Building, Imperial Hotel, Whitehouse, Imperial Hotel, Flat Iron Building, Seattle Space Needle, and more. You will also build bridges, towers, and other structures using a variety of materials and learn about structural engineering principles and forces that act on structures. A key component of these projects is to develop team building and real-life skills. Develop science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills in a fun, hands-on environment. No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Mini Robotics

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL17

(Ages 7-12) Have fun experimenting with mini robots! Coding, robotics, art, STEAM, and computer science will come alive with tiny, programmable mini-robots. Learn to use the Sphero app to drive in different modes, program with Javascript, or as a controller to play games. With Ozobot, there is no end to the possibilities, as you create a different landscape of adventures, play games and color code with markers and "Ozoblocky," a coding language powered by Google's Blocky program. Have fun using toothbrush motor and vibration technology to build and take home your own "Bristlebot!" No refunds 7 days prior to class start date.

Squishy Circuits

Course Code: WIZ-820-BLL18

(Ages 7-12) Have fun using conductive and insulating play dough to learn about the basics of electric circuits and electronics! With Squishy circuits, you will get to use unique electronic components to solve problems, engineer solutions and inspire your creativity and thinking. Build creative gadgets with buzzers, motors, LEDs, play dough, and more! This program will also feature inventions with LittleBits, Snap Circuits, and EKI Mr. Circuit electronics.
