Card Creation 101

Have you ever received a handmade card, and remember the feeling you had that someone was actually so thoughtful? And these are so inexpensive to make! In this hands-on class, you will learn easy and fun ways to make these truly special gifts. No experience is necessary, and all your supplies will be provided. Recipients save these cards for years, and the techniques are the same even when making special, very intricate designs. Please join us to see how really easy and fun it can be to truly make someone’s day!

Cards Plus

You have the basics, but want to take it to the next level. We show you how to turn on the creativity and take card making to the next level. Your friends and family will really be impressed when they receive these handmade cards and projects, and you will learn advanced techniques to make some really special, one of-a-kind projects. Supplies are provided for the class projects. BRING: Your scissors, and maybe we will find a way to have a glass of wine while we are having fun! (Well, maybe not actually in the class, but the fun part is guaranteed!).

Etegami: Autumn Picture Cards

Enjoy a day of card making using traditional Japanese style brush art and calligraphy. You will use fall subjects for inspiration when creating your art cards. You will learn the traditional and modern brush painting techniques to paint these subjects: leaves and trees, pumpkins and squash, fruits and nuts, vegetables, chrysanthemums and gold fish. You will also learn calligraphy to add to your cards to send to family and friends. A Supply Kit ($25) can be reserved and purchased from the instructor the morning of the workshop.

You will learn the traditional and modern brush painting techniques to paint these subjects: pine trees and pine cones, birds such as cardinals, snow bamboo cranes in snow, winter vegetables, and flowers. You will also learn calligraphy to add to your cards to send to family and friends.
