TechWorks Cold Forming Training

This is a 12-week accelerated skills training that leads to: one (1) NIMS credential. Our training partners include Rock Valley College, Nakashimada Engineering Works, LTD, NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills), Loomis International, Slidematic, Wiretech, and Fastenal. We work to give each student the core skills in the process of Cold Forming and Cold Heading. Cold Forming is a manufacturing process through which a series of die parts are pressed into specific shapes at present temperature.

Cold Forming Training is an employer-driven training organization that develops and delivers a customized curriculum to prepare you for a career as a cold header operator in just twelve (12) weeks. Classes are 6 hours each day, therefore it is best suited for the unemployed.

Whether you are new to the cold forming industry or continued education is your goal, our small classroom size and hands-on training allows us to graduate highly employable individuals into our regional workforce. You will learn the skills necessary to enter the cold heading environment at an entry level position with a solid foundation of shop math, blueprint interpretation, metrology, and Cold Heading setup/operation skills.
