Rock Valley College

Paying Tuition

Payment in full is due in the Accounts Receivable office by the payment due date. Failure to make
payment in full or sign up for the FACTS payment plan by the deadline will result in the cancellation of classes.
Failure to receive a bill does NOT affect the payment due date.

For the most up-to-date payment options and due date deadlines, you may call (815) 921-4414 or email RVC-AR@rockvalleycollege.edu for details.

Online

Payment in full may be made online (via Self Service) with an e-check, credit card, or debit card for a one-time nominal fee. Please note the service fee for all debit and credit card transactions applies to both online and in-person transactions.

Walk-in

Payment in full may be made at the cashier window in the Accounts Receivable/Student Payments office on the second floor of the Student Center on the main campus.

We accept cash, check, money order, RVC gift certificates, debit cards, and credit cards (MasterCard, Discover, Visa, or American Express).

Note: an additional service fee will be charged for all debit and credit card transactions.

The cashier window is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST unless otherwise scheduled to be closed in cooperation with the college schedule (see Academic Calendar).

*The college has a summer hours schedule with Friday hours of 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST beginning mid-May and ending mid-August.

U.S. Mail

Payment in full may be mailed directly to the Accounts Receivable office by including your check along with the upper portion of your registration statement using the address on the statement.

Mail-in payments should be sent no later than five days prior to a due date to ensure timely posting and reduce risk of classes being dropped for non-payment.

Drop Box

Payment in full will be accepted with a check with the upper portion of your registration statement. Your payment must be in a sealed envelope and dropped into the drop box located at the Student Center entrance.

Do not put cash in the drop box.

The Rock Valley College drop box is a camera-equipped, well-lit, secure option for paying after office hours are closed.

Payment Plan

The challenge of paying for college expenses is much easier with the monthly payment plan offered by Rock Valley College through the FACTS/Nelnet Online Payment Plan. It's simple; just complete a short form online (via Self Service), and you can pay your tuition and fee costs with monthly payments deducted from your credit card or bank account.

Here's how it works:

  • The earlier you sign up, the lower your monthly payments. For example, if you sign up for the Fall Credit Term as early as May, your payments can begin in July and continue through October. That gives you four full months to make payments. If your tuition and fee expenses amount to $1500, you make four payments of only $375 each, plus any applicable payment plan fees.

  • The monthly payment program is not a loan, so you do not pay any interest. You don't need to fill out complicated loan forms. It's a pay-as-you-go plan that costs only $25 per semester.

  • What's even better is you don't have to remember to write checks and mail them each month. This monthly payment plan uses a convenient electronic payment system.
