Graduation Evaluation Fridays

If you are a student who believes you will have acquired enough credits to complete your degree or certificate program by the end of the spring semester, you must apply for graduation before the March 1, 2018, deadline.

Steps you should be taking now regardless of if you plan to participate in the Commencement ceremony in May:

1. Meet with an advisor as soon as possible to have your credits evaluated.

Choose from the following options to meet with an advisor:

  • Schedule an appointment with an academic advisor by calling (815) 921-4100.

  • You may stop in to the Open Advising Lab, located on the second floor of the Student Center. The open lab hours are Monday-Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Academic and Transfer Advising will be taking walk-ins on Graduation Evaluation Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the following dates for the sole purpose of evaluating credits for potential graduates: 2/2, 2/9, 2/16 or 2/23. You do not need an appointment. Check in at the advising desk (NOT the Open Advising Lab) on the second floor of the Student Center.

2. Fill out a graduation application.

No matter which option you choose from above for meeting with an advisor, you will need to tell the advisor you need your credits evaluated for graduation and you will be required to fill out a graduation application. You can either fill out an application in advance or fill one out with the advisor during your appointment.
