Rock Valley College

Weather-Related Cancellations or Closings

Safety is our number one priority. We make every attempt to keep the college open and operating during inclement weather. In some cases, it may be necessary to cancel classes or close campus entirely because of dangerous weather conditions. We will resume classes as soon as conditions and safety concerns allow.

In the event of class cancellations, students, faculty, and staff are not to come to campus until an announcement is made that classes are resuming. FPOM, RVCPD, and other designated essential employees, should report to work as notified by their supervisor.

Class cancellations or campus closing information typically will be available by:

  • 5 a.m. for morning classes
  • 10 a.m. for afternoon classes
  • 3 p.m. for evening classes
