The future of energy in the United States, and the rest of the world is in clean, renewable, cost-effective energy sources, and a new program at Rock Valley College is designed to prepare you to start a career in sustainable energy.
Successful graduates will have the necessary skills to become a certified Alternative Energy Hybrid System Integrator.
Students will study:
As an Alternative Energy Hybrid System Integrator you will be trained to perform a site feasibility analysis that includes geography and local codes to determine the best application of alternative energy sources to a residence or small business. You will also learn how to integrate the alternative energy system with the overall home management system and system consoles.
Certification of graduates is through the Electronics Technician Association (ETA), International. At the completion of your first year of the program, you will take the level one certification exam. Successful completion will award you a Alternative Energy Hybrid System Integrator certificate.
Upon completion of the second year of the program, you will take your level two certification exam and also receive an Associate in Applied Science degree.
