The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!
Have fun. Try stuff. RVC gives you opportunities to get involved. There are lots of student activities to choose from. We offer more than 20 clubs and organizations. Try your hands at student government. Join the staff of our campus newspaper. What's it going to be?
RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

The Golden Eagles will head to Madison for the regional tournament this weekend not only as the top seed and the #1 ranked team in the country, but also armed with four All-Region selections.
Kristy Bourquin (sophomore), Tailyr Negri (sophomore), Natalie Olsen (freshman), and Samantha Smith (freshman) all earned All-Region honors for the 37-5 Golden Eagles.
Bourquin is a repeat selection for All-Region after earning the honor as a freshman last season. She is currently fourth in the nation in total kills with 406.
Olsen is right behind Bourquin at fifth in the nation in total kills with 394. She is also sixth in the nation in kills per set with 3.72.
Negri leads the nation in assists per set and is second in the nation in total assists with 1,056.
Smith, RVC's Libero, leads the nation in total digs with 816 and is third in the nation in digs per set with 6.18.
