RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in football, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

RVC’s Center for Learning in Retirement Hosts Civil War Class in Belvidere

It is well known that women played an important role in the Civil War, but few people are aware of their status as soldiers.  Come find out about these women and the fascinating role they played in American History.

The 2-hour class, Known But To God: Women Who Fought in the Civil War, is being offered at the Keen Age Center in Belvidere on Friday October 9th from 9:00-11:00am.  This class is being offered by the Center for Learning in Retirement (CLR) of Rock Valley College.  CLR is offering a “Try It!” special for this class: $10.00 class fee, waiving the $25.00 annual CLR membership fee.

Seniors in Boone County who are interested in this class, or would like information about other classes or membership, call the CLR at 815.921.3931.

The Keen Age Center is easy to find, located at 2141 Henry Luckow Lane in Belvidere.
