RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

Golden Eagles volleyball advances to national championship match

The Rock Valley College Golden Eagles volleyball team has advanced to the national championship match in Rochester, Minnesota.

In Friday morning's quarterfinals, RVC defeated Davidson, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18. The Golden Eagles followed that up with an afternoon semifinal win over Northland, 25-12, 27-25, 25-19.

The win guarantees RVC will finish at least second at the national tournament after finishing third the last two seasons. Rock Valley also finished second in 2004 and won national titles in 1996 and 1997.

The NJCAA Division III National Championship match will be played Saturday, November 10 at 2:30 p.m. Second seed Rock Valley College will take on top seed Brookhaven.
