W. Tennis: RVC takes third at nationals; Rapp an All-American

Despite a 3-7 team record this season, the Rock Valley College women's tennis team chose just the right time to shine in the desert state of Arizona. At the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) national tournament in Tucson, the Golden Eagles came away with third place, while conference rival College of DuPage ran away with the national championship.
Rock Valley College Upward Bound Students Take 1st Place

Seven students participating in Rock Valley College Upward Bound Entrepreneurship program, received 1st place in the school-based competition Saturday, May 3 at the Youth Entrepreneurship Conference in Lincolnshire, IL. The annual conference, sponsored by the Illinois Institute of Entrepreneurship Education (IIEE), advocates entrepreneurship throughout the state of Illinois by helping communities realize the effect that entrepreneurship can have on their economic development.
RVC Booster Club Annual Golf Outing

The Rock Valley College Athletic Booster Club will be hosting their annual RVC Golf Classic play day on Friday, June 13, 2008. Tee time is set for 1 p.m. at Elliot golf course and the cost is just $110 per person. All proceeds benefit the RVC Athletic Booster Club.

Today's home softball game scheduled for 3 p.m. versus Triton has been postponed. The double-header will be moved to Friday, April 25 at RVC. The previously scheduled away game with Elgin for Friday has been cancelled to accommodate the rescheduled home game with Triton.
