CCE offers courses for hobby, leisure, and development. Specific programs and courses are designed to
increase useful job knowledge, functional skills and practical workplace methods that directly translate
into improved employee performance. Programs or courses that meets the criteria of helping students in their general professional development, career advancement or preparation for state and national certificate exams would qualify to be offered through CCE. Courses do not earn credit toward college degrees and are not transferable.


We are seeking part-time adjunct faculty who are interested in sharing their expertise with members
of our community. Due to the nature of non-credit classes, instructors are not required to have degrees
— just demonstrate expertise in their subject area. Individuals are encouraged to propose new classes
in any of the subject areas below.

Part-Time Instructors: Academic Enrichment Program  
Rock Valley College Whiz Kids – Rockford IL
$20 an hour - Part-time

Are you looking to make a big impact in a part time job? Our part time  Whiz Kids Instructors will have fun teaching to groups of elementary & middle school kids.

Instructors should be looking for part time work, enjoy working with children and have reliable transportation.

  • This is a part time job. We help you develop a class schedule based on your availability.


  • We are primarily interested in dynamic personalities who want to make a difference in a child's day.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.


  • Instructors select and purchase the supplies they need to flourish in a summer program setting. All approved supply expenses are fully reimbursed.

Instructors will have the following responsibilities:

  • Be EARLY - Instructors are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled class time
  • Be PREPARED – Instructors are expected to develop their own curriculum and lessons.
  • Be FRIENDLY - A smile and a healthy dose of enthusiasm go a long way.
  • Be ENGAGING – RVC instructors engage students to THINK, LEARN and PLAY WELL each and every class.
