Our mission is to provide guidance for business growth. The Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at Rock Valley College provides no-cost services to business in Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson and Ogle counties. The PTAC can help determine suitability for government contracting. The government marketplace poses unique challenges that can overwhelm a small business that does not have the proper resources. Let us help you determine if your company is ready for government prime or subcontracting.
The PTAC also has linkages with the federal, state, and local levels through the Illinois Small Business Development Center Network. We work closely with other business assistance programs to provide such services as trade/export assistance through international trade centers, access to financial and energy management assistance, and job training help.
The Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) program is funded by the Defense Logistics Agency, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunities and the Rock Valley College through a cooperative agreement as a service to those members of the business community interested in selling a product or service to the government (federal, state and local).
