RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!

Jobs & Innovation Accelerator Challenge Rockford Area Aerospace Cluster JIAC Program OverviewIf you are interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and are in one target group for JIAC candidates (see box at right), you may be eligible for the JIAC Engineering Program. The U.S. Dept. of Labor – Employment & Training Administration has provided this unique opportunity through the Jobs & Innovation Accelerator Challenge (JIAC) Grant. The intent of the program is to promote Aerospace careers in the Rockford region, by providing students with educational and career mentoring through RVC, NIU and the JiET-A initiative. This new program allows you to start earning your engineering degree right here at Rock Valley College. For the first two years of study you can save money on tuition and fees, plus avoid commuting costs and room & board - all while staying here in Rockford!
1. Complete “Enrollment Information Form” for Rock Valley College
2. Apply for FAFSA for 2012 academic year “Free Application for Federal Student Aid”
NOTE: Application for FAFSA is required for eligibility in JIAC Program.
3. Complete the “JIAC Program Application”
4. Schedule initial meeting with JIAC Engineering Grant Coordinator, Vicki Brust, at Rock Valley College (see contact info below)
5. Bring required documents per the “JIAC Eligibility Checklist” to meeting to determine eligibility and suitability for the program.
6. Receive Eligibility Notification for JIAC Engineering & Technology Program
7. Enroll in Engineering courses.
