RVC to NIU: 2 + 2 Engineering Program

Program Overview

This new program allows you to start earning your engineering degree right here at Rock Valley College.  For the first two years of study you can save money on tuition and fees, plus avoid commuting costs and room & board - all while staying here in Rockford!

  • The Colleges of Engineering at Rock Valley College (RVC) and Northern Illinois University (NIU) have recently finalized a transfer agreement for the new A.E.S Engineering Transfer Degree.

  • This 2 + 2 program ensures that credits earned from the first two (2) years completed at RVC will transfer seamlessly to NIU, where students may complete their final two (2) years of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
