Assessment at this level is designed to measure success for a specific program/discipline, or a degree/certificate. Success may be related to faculty development, strategic initiatives (both college, and or program/discipline), and student learning (e.g., SLOs or program/discipline specific learning outcomes). In addition, they may be used in combination with other elements of program evaluation (i.e. review of curriculum and instructional practices, analysis of trend data, recommendations by external panels), to evaluate program effectiveness.
